About me
I’m a writer and researcher working on politics and culture in and around East Asia. I’m currently completing a Ph.D. at NYU, where I focus on modern Chinese/Sinophone literature and intellectual history.
My writing has been published in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Public Books, Commonweal, The New Inquiry, Protean, Strange Horizons, and Foreign Policy, among other outlets. I have broad writing and research interests, spanning cultural and literary criticism, international relations, human rights, and more.
I received my M.A. from Georgetown and my B.A. from Williams. I’m originally from California, and have also spent time in New York City, D.C., Hong Kong, and a variety of places in the northeastern United States.
